TV Notes

The CW announced it's picked-up Arrow for a full season. They've also ordered three additional episodes of their Beauty and the Beast series, though it looks promising the show will get a full season pick-up due to the fact they've kept a good portion of their lead-in audience from The Vampire Diaries. Meanwhile, not surprising, FOX has ordered a third season of The X Factor. Meanwhile, the networks Tuesday night comedies have been given additional episodes. The Mindy Project and veterans The New Girl and Raising Hope all were given two more episodes, meaning they'll air 24 this season, while newcomer Ben and Kate are stuck at 19, which seems to imply that Scott Foley/Beckie Newton lead comedy The Goodwin Games (from How I Met Your Mother creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas) will replace that new shown sometime around midseason. Over at ABC, they've given an order for two additional episodes of The Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. Both shows have evened out in the ratings, now the alphabet network appears to be curious to where the shows are going beyond the thirteen they initially ordered.

Adam Baldwin will replace Titus Welliver on the TNT pilot The Last Ship. The only world given for Welliver's departure from the network was a "family emergency." According to Deadline, Welliver's wife is ill. The Last Ship centers on the crew of a naval destroyer who, after a global catastrophe decimates the Earth’s population, are forced to confront the reality of their new existence in a world where they are among the only survivors.

Showtime has picked up the Emmy winning Best Drama, Actor and Actress series Homeland for a third season.
