It looks like that Doctor Who will start its season on August 25. The plan seems to be -though unofficially- that the BBC (look for BBCAmerica to air them the same day) will broadcast five episodes through September. Then return on Christmas Day with story that introduces Jenna-Louis Coleman as new companion Clara.
The back 8 will either start in early January, or seeing the show will wrap production in early December and to get the effects done that quickly seems difficult, it's possible we'll see another month or more delay before those final eight of season seven airs.
I stress at this time all of this is speculative, though multiple sources seem to come to the same conclusion. As noted in an earlier post, the BBC plays its schedule close to the vest, so until we hear something from them, none of what I wrote should be taken as gospel.
That being said, I'm confident that this is the schedule.
